Performance

The primary difference between the 2022 Audi Q7 and the 2022 Audi SQ7 is experienced behind the wheel. The Q7 is offered with two powertrains. These are a 248-horsepower, turbocharged 2.0-liter, four-cylinder option, and a mild-hybrid turbo 3.6-liter V6 engine that produces 335 horsepower. Both have an all-wheel drive drivetrain and an eight-speed auto transmission. The 2022 SQ7 is offered in two trim levels. Both have a 500-horsepower, turbo 4.0-liter, V8 engine, all-wheel drive, and eight-speed auto transmission.

Appearance

Visually, the Q7 and the SQ7 are very similar. They both share a confident profile with well-placed definition angled across the hood and sides. They also both have a bar-style grille with vertical bars. These bars are chrome on the Q7 and black on the SQ7. While they have the same multi-elemental LED headlights, the SQ7 has a sportier lower-front fascia. The Q7 has 19-inch wheels on its base trim level, and the SQ7 has 21-inch wheels. Both are offered with a sunroof, heated side mirrors, and other elite exterior features.

Features

There are a few differences between the Q7’s features and the SQ7’s features on a trim-by-trim basis. However, both are wonderfully appointed at all trim levels. Some of the top features in the Q7 are massaging front seats, upgraded leather seats, soft-closing doors, a heads-up display, heated front and rear seats, rear sunshades, and ambient interior lighting. The SQ7 has these same features as well as a Bang & Olufsen sound system with 23 speakers, dual-pane front and rear glass, and a few other items.
